As echo.bravo continues to grow at a rapid pace, we’re excited to be making new hires here in Reigate, and we’re extremely pleased to announce the hire of Chris Page as our new Business Experience Manager. Yes another Chris in the office 🤦

Chris has a great deal of experience as a successful aircraft broker, where his responsibilities included booking business and group travel to sporting events, and bespoke luxury packages to a variety of destinations. Chris had the pleasure of Chris has had the pleasure of managing travel for some huge events including the F1 in Monaco, Rugby 6 nations, marathon des sables and football fan flights for the champions league.

His passions are sport and travel and he’s been lucky enough to combine the two.

Chris is the captain and plays for Brighton and Hove Hockey team. He’s Brighton born and bred and has a long list of awesome holidays planned for summer 2022, including three weeks in Australia, an Ultra Marathon trip to Austria and he’s just returned from a relaxing trip to Malta.

Lucky for us, Chris has decided to join the echo.bravo family as our new Business Experience Manager where he can contribute to the continued growth and success of the business.

So let’s have a chat with the man himself. Firstly welcome to the team, and welcome to Reigate. Shall we start with a game of would you rather?

Would you rather never be able to go out during the day or never be able to go out at night?

Never be able to go out at night as I prefer the sunshine!

Would you rather be chronically under-dressed or overdressed?

I would say under-dressed, I get warm quite easily!

Would you rather never eat watermelon ever again or be forced to eat watermelon with every meal?

Easy, never eat watermelon again, I don’t mind it but would never choose to eat it.

Would you rather visit every country in the world or go to space?

This is a tough one, as space would be very cool but I would say visit every country, it is something I would love to do!

On to the nitty-gritty…

Q1. Tell us a bit about yourself, we’re dying to hear more about these holidays you have planned?

Firstly, I have just returned from Malta where I got a bit of sun, explored and relaxed. Then in June, I am off to Salzburg, Austria for an ultra run. This will be my second ultra as I did one in Cape Town, South Africa in 2019. I have a big passion for running and especially hard, tough runs that really push my body to the limit. The last holiday I have planned so far this year is heading to Australia! My girlfriend is Australian and this is the first time she has been able to head home since the pandemic began and of course I am delighted to be able to go with her.

Q2. What do you like most about being a Business Travel Manager / working in the travel industry?

I enjoy finding solutions to people’s travel needs, in a way that exceeds their expectations. I like to know what options are available and be able to match these to customers’ requests to make travel a pleasure. It’s also great fun looking up new and different destinations with ideas of traveling there myself.

Q3. Tell us a bit about your background in travel?

I’ve always loved to travel ever since I was young. I first started working in travel straight out of university. for 3 years I worked as an aircraft broker before adding in selling luxury holidays to Greece. Unfortunately had to leave the travel industry when the pandemic happened.

Q4. Some of the travel packages you’ve managed sound awesome; you must have some stories?

I would have to say going to the F1 in Monaco. I remember while boarding the flight from Gatwick with some very high end clients, the airline that we had hired didn’t have a bottle opener. A good 30 mins or so was spent running around Gatwick airport trying to find one, I even offered some of the bars £50 for one! However, they weren’t allowed to sell it to me, so I got back to the plane and someone managed to start opening the bottles of champagne with a spoon! All of this before 9am!

Q5. What are your career aspirations?

I want to continue learning about the travel industry and developing skills while traveling the world.

Chris officially joined echo.bravo on the 21st April. Let’s give him a very warm welcome, and connect with him on Linkedin.
