The Best First Class Suites In The World
19 May 2022 |  Travel Blogs
Take a look inside some of the most luxurious first class suites on the world’s largest commercial aircraft, the A380. It’s like looking at million pound houses on Rightmove, we can’t necessarily afford it, but we all do it.
Have a scroll, and let’s manifest this!!
All of the suites featured are on the world’s largest commercial aircraft, the Airbus A380.
Singapore Suite
Six private suites are available on Singapore’s Airbus A380 aircraft. The single suite offers 50 square feet of space with thoughtful touches including a handbag compartment, and luxury pajamas and slippers. If you’re traveling with a loved one, you can book adjoining suites(1A & 2A or 1F & 2F) and be treated to a double bed.
So sit back on your leather reclining armchair and enjoy totally bonkers extras such as window blinds that close at the tap of a button, a A 32” HD touchscreen TV, and complimentary Bang & Olufsen noise-canceling headphones.
Expect your meals to be served on Wedgewood china washed down with a glass (or three) of Dom Pérignon.
Guests will also have access to a washroom with a sit-down vanity counter that comes complete with a range of luxury toiletries by Lalique.
Surprisingly Singapore Airlines have chosen not to add an inflight shower. The airline’s Senior Vice President for Product & Services, Mr Tan Pee Teck, said “It’s a frill that we probably don’t need.”
Personally, I think they’re missing a trick. Competitor Emirates have two shared between 14 first class. And Etihad had one shower shared between 9 first class travellers and a second reserved for the occupants of The Residence supersuite.
The experience comes with a hefty price tag costing up to £20,000 for a round trip.

Qantas First Suite
The Qantas First Suite is available on their A380’s. Your armchair includes an in seat massager and the controls are built in at the end of your arm rest. Sounds like the ultimate La-Z-Boy in the sky.
Expect to snooze on a memory foam mattress and choose the perfect with a pillow menu. Yes you read that right. A menu of different types of pillows for you to choose from. Extra!!
Passengers will be provided with pajamas by designer Martin Grant along with bamboo cotton socks.
It doesn’t stop there… Sydney and Melbourne have a dedicated check-in suite, along with the First Lounge Spa. LaGaia Unedited and Qantas partnered up to create a luxurious spa offering treatments and skincare products designed to restore your skin.

Etihad ‘The Residence’
The crème de la crème of first class cabins.
I’m going to start by saying, ‘The Residence’ is an entire experience, starting with a limousine pick up which takes you straight to a private VIP terminal. There’s no need to check in, that’s all taken care of for you. And there’s a private residence lounge with butler service.
Unfortunately we’ll probably never see the residence again as Etihad are focusing on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner as the “backbone” of its fleet.
Etihad CEO Tony Douglas said: “We have now taken the strategic decision to park the A380s, I’m sure it’s very likely that we won’t see them operating with Etihad again.”
Let’s take a look anyway.
Situated on the upper deck of their A380, the luxury suite is literally an apartment! The 125-square foot residence boasts THREE rooms with a 7-foot-long double bed and luxury bathroom. And of course, the residence includes your own chef and Savoy Hotel-trained butler.
Want to know the price tag? Only about £16,000 for a trip from Abu Dhabi to London.
Etihad had a fleet of 10 A380 planes but the Etihad residence only flew 4 routes worldwide, including: Abu Dhabi – New York City, London Heathrow, Paris, and Sydney.
Fingers crossed that one day they bring it back as there is simly no other product like it.
I hope you’ve enjoyed reading about these incredible apartments in the sky, travel never felt so suite!
